Fun times in Michigan

This week we went to Michigan for my Grandpa and Grandma Booth's anniversary party. It was also my Grandpa's birthday so I was very excited to celebrate with him. I just love a good "Happy Birthday" moment. On Monday, Mommy went running so Bobbie, Papa and I went to the cider mill and apple orchard.

I enjoyed feeding the goats. They meant business when it came to getting the food from us!

I held my hand out and let them eat from my hand. It was gross but cool too!

I loved the slide so much I took off down it by myself. I surprised Bobbie and Papa by taking off on my own.

Climbing on this thing then sliding down the slide was so awesome!

The cider mill had this awesome play set. It is so unique. I have seen many parks in my days and this was one of the greatest for sure.

I vaguely remember having cider and doughnuts last year, but I was again surprised at how wonderful this stuff was. I drank several cups of this stuff, but then Bobbie cut me off. It was so good!

Later we went to the mall and I found this great piano. Mommy said I wasn't allowed to play it too much because it looked like something that Elton John would play. I don't know who that is, but mommy says I don't want to be like him.

The mall also had this great horse. I loved climbing and bouncing on him.

The next day I had a fun time visiting with my Grandma and Grandpa Booth. My Aunt Ann and Aunt Jane were staying with them too. We had so much fun hanging out and playing inside and out. We went to the doctors and when we got back there was a car in the ditch next door.

Grandpa showed me the apple tree and the car in the ditch. It was pretty weird seeing a car in the grass like that. I ate the apple though and that was pretty yummy.

When the police came there was an ambulance, two police cars, and this awesome police bike. Grandpa showed it to me.

One of my favorite things about Grandma and Grandpa's house is the fun times relaxing outside. They have a pretty garden and a porch with lots of chairs that rock. We sat here and relaxed and watched the traffic going by.

Over all my trip was fun and relaxing. I love seeing Bobbie and Papa and Grandma and Grandpa.

Even More Birthday Fun

Bobbie and Papa came to visit this past weekend. We had a super good time. The best part was that we celebrated my birthday more. I just love celebrating birthdays. When they first got here we opened presents and I got lots of sports stuff including a hockey net and soccer ball. They also brought me some of Daddy and Uncle Dave's old gear. I will probably be pro in many sports by the time I am three.

Bobbie gave me some pointers and taught me how to shoot the little balls into the net. It was a little difficult because Lucy wanted to catch the balls and chew on them.

Here we are doing a face off. I let Bobbie win to make her feel better. I really am amazing.

On Sunday afternoon we went downtown and walked around. We ate at Ed Debevic's. It was so fun. Their were lots of things there that were just down right silly, but it was very fun.
Everyone wore sill hats. This place was super fun.

See I told you we all wore silly hats. This is one fun joint. The waiters were a little rude, but everyone seemed okay with it.

Good times. I sure hope we can come back here sometime.

When we walked around the city I looked up and up at all the tall buildings. I was pretty tall up on Papa's shoulders, but not as tall as any buildings.

The next day we went to Joe and Terri's house for a party. There were other grandma's and grandpa's there and they gave me all kinds of treats.

Papa and I went swimming in the pool. Swimming is great exercise.

Andrea has a trampoline so she can practice her gymnastics. I tried bouncing but I wasn't very heavy so I couldn't get good bounces.

Mommy came in with me and we had some very good bounces. I was just cracking up.

This is Joe and Terri's new dog. His name is Champ. He is a cool dog.

Happy Birthday to Me

This past weekend was great. Mom and Dad threw me a birthday party. I had such a good time. I really love this birthday thing. It has been about three weeks now that we have celebrated for this birthday thing. I don't completely understand it, but it is great! Lots of people came and the whole party was a success.

Hadley sat on my car and I pushed her around. Mommy and Aunt Jill said I should be sweet and not run too fast, but Hadley loved it. I showed her how to "beep, beep" on the horn.

For dinner we had hot dogs, beans, watermelon, and pretzels all my favorites. Mom really knows what I love.

After dinner I took Adelina for a ride on my ATV. She loved it too. Chicks really dig my sweet rides.

For my birthday cake, mommy made me car cakes. The whole party was car themed. I love cars, garbage trucks, fire engines, police cars, pick up trucks, and anything else with wheels. I got my whole little car cake to myself.

Everyone sang, "Happy Birthday" to me. I love that song. I blew out my candles then dug in to my little car cake.

Then I got to open presents. I receved some pretty cool things. Opening presents was great. The only bad thing was that I had to go to bed after opening them. Don't worry about me though. I woke up super early on Sunday morning so I would have time to play with all my new toys. What a great night.

I'm Two!

August 23 is my birthday and this year it was a good one. Here is a play by play of what I did all day long.

Daddy came and woke me up so we could get this party started. Yes, this was the position I was sleeping in and it was comfortable too.
Daddy said I was two now and that I couldn't be one anymore. One is so easy to show on my fingers. I still can't do two.
Mommy was out running so daddy made me the "lumberjack breakfast." I had grapes, waffles, eggs, and juice. It was awesome and I ate the whole thing.
When mommy came home I spent some time in bed thinking about what it means to be two. I am in my third year already. Where have the years gone? I feel so old now.
Then I got to open some presents. While we were in Michigan, Daddy bought me a Ridemakerz that Chip Foose designed and signed, but I don't get to play with that. This is a fun barn that makes all kinds of sounds.
It also came with all kinds of toys and accessories. I love my new barn set.

After opening presents (and a quick nap) we went to a train station and we took a ride on a train.
Daddy and Mommy took me up top so I could run around. This is the way to travel. No carseats or straps. I loved looking down and around and checking out the other passengers.
Once the train started to move I got a little nervous, but I loved it. Sitting by daddy helped. He seemed pretty calm!
I loved looking out the train window. It kept stopping and people were getting off and on. When we stopped I told mommy, "More, more" and then the train would go again. My favorite part was the whistle. If you ask me about it, I can make a pretty good whistle sound.
We wandered around downtown Chicago. There is so much to see and look at. I am a city boy for sure!
I really enjoy looking at the river and it is super cool when a boat comes by. I waved at this boat, but nobody saw me. (Their loss.)
For my birthday dinner we went to the Rainforest Cafe. It was a jungle in there. There were elephants, gorrilias, and lots of fish. Nobody else seemed to care so I just went with it too.
I had my favorite dinner -- hot dogs and applesauce. Mmmmm, mmmmm. I even experimented with mixing them together. Not bad! (Everone else said, ewwwwww.)
After we ate our food, the brought this thing out to us. Hello, you all. It is on fire!!!! (I was pretty confused by that but I loved the happy birthday song the sang for me.)
Daddy sliced me up a piece of cake and some ice cream. It was so good.
Funny face time! I love cake and ice cream; I love it so much. So good! Sugar rush!!

I met this fun frog in the lobby. He reminded me of a frog I met at the Detroit Zoo once. He was fun and I waved to him about 42 times.
After dinner we walked onto Navy Pier, but it was so crowded we didn't stay for long. I loved checking out the giant ferris wheel.
This place is a mad house!
Mommy ran around with me in the grass. I had so much fun running up and down the hill. There was grass and all kinds of places to get some energy out.
By the end of the night I was absolutely exhausted. Here are Daddy and I as we were about ready to get on the train. What a fun day. I would have to say that this is my best birthday ever. (Though to be honest I don' really remember last year or the day I was born so those were both pretty easy to top.) Anyway, it was a great day!
