It really is the most wonderful time of the year.
Well, this is the holiday season. I don't really know what that means. I hear this isn't my first Christmas, but it might as well be. I was only four months old last year; I don't remember any of that! This year is going to be good though. I can just feel it.
Here I am with a reindeer. Can you believe it? I will see Santa later on, but the reindeer was pretty cool. It felt kind of like Lucy, but she doesn't have those big things on her head.
You should see it. Things are getting pretty strange around my house. First Dad put a tree up in our living room then he put lights on it. (I tried eating one, but it didn't taste like anything.) I tried to crawl under it to check it out and look to see if there were any presents but not yet. Then mom put little balls and toys all over it. Then Mom put tons of wrapped packages under the tree. Then just to top of this amazing group of stuff for me to explore they put a fence around the whole thing and I can't get close to it -- so unfair!
This is our tree now. Look at all those presents! Mom says they aren't all for me, but that doesn't mean I can't open them. (Sorry about that Stephen.)
So, today when mom came to get me after my nap I wasn't crying. I was playing happily. I found some petroleum jelly and I decided to really make myself look good. I've seen Daddy put stuff in his hair and Mommy put stuff on her face so I decided I could do that too. Let me tell you. I looked good.
Mom tried to put a picture of Calvin (as in Calvin and Hobbes) on here, but I don't think I really look like that. She says the similarities are frightening. All in all, I am one busy boy. I am getting told, "NO" more than ever, but overall I think I really am going to enjoy this time of year!
